School Psychologist in Port Orchard, WA

As a valued part of the educational team, you’ll provide a range of psychological services and make a real impact on students’ academic, social, and emotional development. The district is open to both local and traveling professionals, as long as you’re eligible for Washington certification through OSPI.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Current or eligibility for School Psychologist certification in Washington State via OSPI
- Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in school-based settings (elementary and/or middle school preferred)
- Strong skills in assessment, intervention, counseling, consultation, and working with diverse student populations
- Ability to work full-time, onsite (40 hours per week) with no hybrid option
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments for students referred for special education services
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement appropriate interventions and supports
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on eligibility and programming
- Offer individual and group counseling as needed
- Support crisis intervention procedures in alignment with district protocols
- Promote positive behavioral interventions and contribute to school-wide initiatives supporting student well-being
