Key Responsibilities:
- Participate as a valued member of a multidisciplinary team to assess and identify the educational needs of students
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, providing detailed written reports within required timeframes
- Offer direct support and information to students and families, including referrals to community resources
- Engage regularly with educators, administrators, and parents, explaining evaluation results and recommending intervention strategies
- Maintain meticulous records to ensure continuity of services and uphold program accountability
- Attend and contribute to in-service training and team planning sessions
- Interpret assessment results and help plan targeted support programs for individual student success
Ideal Background:
- NASP certification or LSSP from the Louisiana State Board of Examiners and Psychologists
- Experience interpreting assessment data and preparing comprehensive evaluation reports
- Strong familiarity with special education eligibility criteria, IDEA compliance, and multidisciplinary processes
