Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid school psychologist certification or eligibility in Rhode Island
- Thorough understanding of Response to Intervention (RTI), Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and Individualized Education Programs (IEP)
- Familiarity with assessments, data interpretation, and comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, educators, and administrators
- Prior experience working in a K-12 educational setting is highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and educational assessments to identify student strengths and needs
- Develop and assist with implementation of interventions to support student learning and emotional well-being
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations for student supports and services
- Offer crisis intervention and counseling when necessary
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to devise individualized strategies that address academic and behavioral challenges
- Promote positive behavior interventions and contribute expertise in MTSS frameworks
