Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification in Rhode Island
- Experience working with elementary and/or middle school populations
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Ability to effectively develop and implement intervention strategies
- Capacity to work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Genuine passion for empowering students and fostering positive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct student evaluations and assessments to address learning, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Deliver individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and support services
- Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design and implement effective behavioral and academic interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Advocate for students by providing expertise on mental health, wellness, and educational best practices
This position offers 37.5 hours per week across a standard Monday through Friday schedule, all within a supportive school environment.
