Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid certification or eligibility as a School Psychologist in North Carolina
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting test results
- Strong consultation skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals
- Background working with students across a variety of age groups and abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Familiarity with special education services, IEP development, and progress monitoring
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer assessments and interpret results to address students’ learning, behavior, and emotional needs
- Provide direct and consultative support for behavioral and academic interventions
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and participate in eligibility/placement meetings
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to create supportive, inclusive classroom environments
- Offer crisis intervention and support when needed, contributing to overall school safety and well-being
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with federal, state, and district guidelines
