Beginning August 5, 2026 and continuing through May 21, 2027, you’ll work 30-32.5 hours weekly with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, primarily supporting elementary-aged students with some involvement at the high school level.
Your expertise will be valued in conducting psycho-educational evaluations, handling both initial assessments and re-evaluations, and actively participating in IEP meetings. The student body represents approximately 20% special education needs, and reevaluations are typically performed every other cycle, ensuring attention to each student's academic journey. Notably, you will not be required to handle FBAs or BIPs, allowing you to focus your skills where they’re needed most.
Qualifications:
- Specialist-level degree (Ed.S. or higher) in School Psychology from an accredited institution, including a supervised internship.
- Eligibility for a Tennessee School Service Personnel (SSP) School Psychologist license; out-of-state applicants may qualify through reciprocity.
- Successful completion of the Praxis School Psychologist Exam (5402), a standard for Tennessee licensure.
Preferred experience includes comfort working with students of varying abilities and collaborating with educators and families to support diverse learning profiles.
