This position calls for a licensed School Psychologist who thrives in dynamic environments and is ready to support students within one or two assigned school sites (exact locations in either the Hazelwood or Bayless districts to be determined). The assignment is set for the 2026-27 school year, running from late August through late May, at 37.5 hours per week.
Your primary focus will be on assessments, evaluations, and report preparation with a strong emphasis on Child Find. Caseloads are thoughtfully managed—typically ranging from 30 to 40 students, and may include elementary, high school, or a K-12 population, depending on the district. Administrators are committed to supporting contracted professionals by maintaining manageable workloads and providing a welcoming, collaborative atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- Active Missouri Department of Education (MO DOE) School Psychologist certification required
- Recent experience in K-12 school settings preferred
- Strong skills in assessments, evaluations, and report writing
- Familiarity with Child Find procedures and legal requirements
- Ability to build rapport with diverse students, staff, and families
- Drug screening and fingerprint clearance required prior to start
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive educational and psychological assessments
- Complete evaluations and detailed, legally compliant reports
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to interpret results and recommend interventions
- Support Child Find processes in compliance with federal and state guidelines
- Communicate findings clearly to staff and families
