Step into a dynamic role supporting students in elementary and middle school settings near beautiful San Diego, CA! As a dedicated school psychologist, you'll provide vital psychological assessments, counseling, and consultation services in person, making a real difference in students' lives. This position offers a consistent, Monday-Friday schedule of 35 paid hours per week (7 hours per day, exclusive of lunch breaks), beginning as soon as possible and extending through June 9, 2027.
Ideal candidates possess expertise in collaborating with educators, administrators, and families to foster a supportive school climate. Bilingual skills are valued and will enhance your ability to connect with a diverse student population.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure (California credentials preferred)
- Experience working in school settings, ideally at the elementary and/or middle school level
- Proficiency conducting psycho-educational evaluations and writing reports
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- A commitment to equity and inclusive practices
- Bilingual skills in Spanish or another language are a major plus
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results for educational planning
- Provide counseling and intervention services to individual students and groups
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote emotional and academic success
- Support the special education team in developing and implementing IEPs
- Participate in Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and other data-driven initiatives
- Advocate for students’ social, emotional, and academic needs
