This contract opportunity for a dedicated School Psychologist or Diagnostician spans district-wide, working closely with a diverse student population and multidisciplinary teams. The assignment runs from now through May 2027, offering the chance to build meaningful, long-term relationships with students and staff.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree or Doctorate in School Psychology or closely related field
- Current New Mexico PED School Psychologist License
- Previous evaluation and assessment experience (30-40 evaluations per school year is typical)
- Ability and willingness to travel between school sites within the district
- Collaborative spirit and strong communication skills
Position Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments to develop detailed evaluations of student learning and behavioral strengths and challenges
- Collaborate with educators, families, and administrative teams to develop and support effective academic and behavioral interventions
- Provide consultation and recommendations to support student IEP goals and 504 plans
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary problem solving to foster educational access and achievement
- Maintain thorough documentation and timely reporting as required by district policies
