We are seeking two experienced School Psychologists for full-time, on-site contract positions serving K-12 students. You’ll collaborate with educators and families to conduct assessments, provide counseling, and develop positive interventions within a supportive educational environment. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as assignments may vary by site and workload, reflecting students' evolving needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid, active School Psychologist licensure for Alabama is mandatory
- Proven experience working with K-12 students in a school setting
- Strong skills in assessments, crisis intervention, and developing data-driven interventions
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication competencies
- Availability to start October 1, 2026 and commit through May 26, 2027, with the potential to renew for Extended School Year and following school year based on performance
- Must be available for on-site interviews; remote work is not available
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform psychoeducational evaluations, eligibility determination, and progress monitoring
- Consult with teachers, staff, and parents/guardians to enhance student learning and social/emotional development
- Support the implementation of IEPs and behavioral plans
- Travel between school sites within the Mobile area may be required (itinerant/assigned)
- Maintain accurate records and timely reporting in compliance with state and district policies
