Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in School Psychology or related field (required)
- Current Louisiana school psychologist license (required)
- Experience working with diverse age groups: elementary, middle, and/or high school
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Ability to develop and implement behavior intervention and support plans
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and academic assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for growth
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to design and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) and Section 504 plans
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention for students as needed
- Support school-wide initiatives for positive behavior and mental wellness
- Interpret assessment results and make evidence-based recommendations
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to promote safe and nurturing learning environments
