Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s or specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Active School Psychologist credential or eligibility to obtain it
- Previous experience working in an elementary school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of assessment tools, data-driven intervention, and special education services
- Skilled communicator able to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families
- Adept at time management and adapting strategies across different age groups
- Ability to mentor and support intern-level professionals
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students across four elementary schools
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create and implement effective student support plans
- Provide individual or group counseling to students as needed
- Work closely with an intern, offering guidance and professional development opportunities
- Deliver crisis intervention and consult with multi-disciplinary teams regarding student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and re-evaluations
- Help foster a positive school climate that supports learning and growth
