Qualifications:
- Master’s or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Michigan state School Psychologist licensure (or eligibility and willingness to obtain in time for the new school year)
- Previous experience working with K-12 students in a school-based or similar setting
- Proficiency in assessment, intervention, and consultation with students, families, and staff
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to support students’ varied needs across multiple grade levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine students’ needs
- Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and provide recommendations
- Partner with teachers, counselors, and parents/guardians to support student growth
- Offer direct and indirect interventions to promote emotional and academic well-being
- Respond to crises and provide counseling or behavioral support as needed
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
