Provide telehealth school psychological services within a large, diverse district serving preschool through high school students, including specialized and alternative education programs. The role focuses on delivering teletherapy assessments and interventions, with an opportunity to support an elementary school assignment that may be testing-intensive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive telehealth psychological evaluations and provide counseling services to students across multiple grade levels.
- Collaborate with special education coordinators to support students with varying needs, including those with disabilities ranging from medical to emotional disorders.
- Participate in professional development days, which are compensated as part of the contract.
- Adapt methods to meet demands of assigned schools, typically covering one site or splitting responsibilities between elementary schools.
- Communicate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate records and comply with district and state regulations for special education services.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification; assistance provided for license transfer to Delaware.
- Eligibility to work under a license-pending status is acceptable.
- Experience or interest in telehealth and teletherapy service delivery.
- Ability to manage a caseload within an elementary or high school environment.
- Skilled in conducting psychoeducational assessments and supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Location: Wilmington, DE
Contract Details: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, starting ASAP through June 10th, including professional development days.
