School Psychologists are needed for full-time, on-site roles beginning October 1, 2026, and continuing through May 26, 2027. This position offers the unique chance to work with K–12 learners and collaborate closely with a dedicated school-based team. As locations and caseloads will be assigned closer to the start date, flexibility is essential—your expertise may be needed at multiple sites depending on student testing requirements. Outstanding performers could be invited to extend their contract for the summer or the following school year.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active Alabama school psychology license required; please have digital images of your licensure available.
- Previous experience in K–12 educational settings, providing psychological assessments, intervention, and counseling services.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with educators, families, and students.
- Adaptability for a potential itinerant schedule based on district needs.
- Familiarity with best practices in school-based psychological assessments and IEP team participation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students across K–12 age groups as determined by testing needs.
- Interpret assessment data, prepare timely reports, and collaborate in the development of educational plans.
- Partner with teachers, counselors, and administrators to foster positive outcomes for a diverse student population.
- Consult with families and staff to support academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Provide direct student support services when appropriate.
This contract offers 40 hours per week with regular weekday hours, and the interview process opens August 26, 2026. Please note: no interviews will be held from August 31 through September 4, but scheduling resumes after that date.
