This contract opportunity offers hands-on involvement with a district-level assessment team, focused on conducting cognitive and Child Find evaluations. Positions are fully on-site, providing the opportunity to connect and collaborate directly with students, families, and multidisciplinary colleagues.
Key Qualifications:
- Colorado Department of Education Special Service License with a School Psychologist (Ages 0-21) Endorsement (CO DOE SSL required)
- Experience conducting cognitive assessments and Child Find evaluations for children ages 0-21
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities
- Comfort working as part of an evaluation team, supporting multiple school sites
- Bilingual abilities or experience with bilingual evaluations are highly valued; candidates may also be bilingual Early Childhood Special Education teachers
- Ability to meet time-sensitive credentialing and onboarding requirements prior to assignment start
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment services as part of the district-level psychologist assessment team, supporting 4-6 schools with cognitive and Child Find evaluations
- Ensure timely, thorough, and accurate assessments to support special education eligibility decisions
- Conduct evaluations at specific locations, including North Star Elementary, Centennial Elementary, and additional district sites
- Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to interpret evaluation results and drive student support plans
- Participate in evaluation planning, meetings, and teams, lending expertise and insight to the decision-making process
- Maintain thorough documentation according to district and state requirements
This contract role is full time (37.5 hours per week) and on-site only—no remote or hybrid options—giving you the chance to work closely with school communities. The assignment runs ASAP through May 21, 2027.
