School Psychologist - Tomball, TX
Embark on a fulfilling contract role specializing in school psychology, providing vital support to students across 2-3 educational locations. This full-time position begins July 27th and continues through May 27th, offering a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners.
As a valued member of the student support team, you will manage a caseload of approximately 60-80 students, conducting 8-10 evaluations each month. Your expertise as a School Psychologist will be instrumental in helping identify and support the educational and emotional needs of students, collaborating closely with educators, administrators, and families.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Background in conducting educational and psychological assessments
- Experience working within school settings, particularly with diverse student populations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across several locations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with current evaluation tools and compliance standards
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive evaluations, including cognitive, behavioral, and emotional assessments
- Develop and implement interventions and individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teaching staff and families to promote academic and emotional success for each student
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district policies
- Serve as a resource for crisis intervention when necessary
- Participate in meetings, consultations, and trainings as required
