Key Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate in School Psychology or a closely related field
- Valid New Mexico PED School Psychologist License (required)
- Ability and willingness to travel between schools within the district
- Prior experience with student evaluations and multi-disciplinary team collaboration preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments to inform educational planning
- Manage an average caseload of 30-40 student evaluations, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and timelines
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective intervention plans
- Support student mental health and learning goals through expert guidance and evidence-based strategies
- Contribute to Multi-Tiered Systems of Support and special education processes
- Maintain detailed records and prepare clear, actionable evaluation reports
- Travel to school sites across the district as needed
