Qualifications and Skills
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid and current School Psychologist certification (state requirements apply)
- Experience conducting comprehensive psychological and academic evaluations
- Strong understanding of crisis intervention, behavioral management, and consultative support for teachers and families
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with IEP processes and compliance with federal and state regulations
Key Responsibilities
- Perform student evaluations to assess learning, social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Interpret test results and provide actionable recommendations for academic and behavioral interventions
- Consult with teachers, staff, and parents regarding student progress and strategies for success
- Support IEP development and participate in meetings as a trusted expert
- Offer crisis intervention and counseling as necessary
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records
