A district-wide school psychologist is needed to support K-12 students across four buildings within a vibrant educational community. This contract opportunity runs from August 26, 2026, to June 14, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 35–37.5 hours per week. You’ll play an essential role in fostering academic success and emotional well-being for students throughout the district.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Active Vermont School Psychologist Certificate (required)
- Previous experience providing school psychology services for K-12 students preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to supporting a diverse student population
- Flexibility to travel between school buildings within the district
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students in accordance with district and state requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and support to students as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and student support teams
- Advise and assist school staff regarding best practices for academic, behavioral, and emotional support
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory guidelines
