Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid and current state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting psychological assessments, evaluating student needs, and developing intervention strategies
- Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and school personnel
- Ability to design and implement evidence-based interventions and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Comfortable collaborating across multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with federal and state special education laws and procedures
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct psycho-educational evaluations and interpret assessment results
- Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention services to students
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop strategies supportive of academic success and emotional well-being
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to eligibility determination for special education services
- Develop, monitor, and adjust interventions and IEPs as needed
- Assist with the implementation of school-wide programs promoting positive behavior and mental health
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
