School Psychologist in Aurora, CO

In this role, you will provide direct mental health support for a caseload of students whose Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) call for targeted intervention. You'll collaborate daily with a skilled interdisciplinary team to address significant social-emotional and behavioral challenges, coordinate IEP-related activities—including evaluations, meetings, and development—and foster students’ progress in the program.
Key qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider (SSP) license with endorsement as a School Psychologist or School Social Worker
- Background in working with middle and high school populations, especially those with severe behavior needs (facility placements, day treatment settings, or similar)
- Experience supporting complex IEP cases, collaborating with program staff, and navigating challenging educational environments
- Ability to begin credentialing processes quickly (background checks and fingerprinting required for district clearance)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized mental health services in a separate school setting focused on grades 6-12
- Develop and implement interventions based on IEP requirements
- Conduct assessments, participate in IEP meetings, and document progress
- Work closely with teachers and staff to support student growth and positive outcomes
You’ll work 37.5 hours per week, supporting up to 30 students who depend on your knowledge and commitment.
