Step into a pivotal role supporting the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth of students as a School Psychologist for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. This full-time contract opportunity spans district-wide assignments, offering meaningful engagement with diverse student populations while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Your expertise in psychoeducational evaluations, special education eligibility, IEP development, and behavioral consultation will be valued daily as you partner with educators, families, and support staff to create positive school experiences for all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and evaluations for students across the district.
  • Determine eligibility for special education services and provide research-based recommendations.
  • Actively participate as a member of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) in eligibility meetings.
  • Support the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) through data interpretation and suggestions.
  • Assist in planning and implementing behavioral and academic interventions.
  • Provide ongoing consultation to teachers, administrators, support staff, and families.
  • Collaborate with outside agencies, healthcare professionals, and parent organizations.
  • Offer crisis intervention support and contribute to the development of intervention protocols.
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, ensuring up-to-date documentation.
  • Engage in professional development activities to further your expertise and contribute to district goals.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctorate in School Psychology.
  • Valid Nebraska Special Services Certificate, or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Nebraska School Psychology Endorsement, or ability to secure it via reciprocity.
  • Strong understanding of IDEA, IEP development, and special education regulations.
  • Experience with psychoeducational assessments and developing meaningful reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and families.
