As a School Psychologist, you will partner closely with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams to facilitate assessment, intervention, and collaborative educational planning.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for students of varying backgrounds and needs.
  • Determine special education eligibility and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Collaborate as a key member of multidisciplinary and IEP teams.
  • Interpret assessment results and assist in the creation of effective, individualized education plans.
  • Support behavior intervention planning and academic program development tailored to students’ strengths.
  • Consult with educators, administrators, and families to foster student achievement and address behavioral concerns.
  • Offer guidance on learning styles, academic challenges, and social-emotional needs.
  • Coordinate with community agencies and medical professionals to promote holistic student support.
  • Participate in crisis intervention planning and provide direct support and consultation as needed.
  • Engage in professional development to remain current in best practices and compliance with special education regulations.
  • Attend meetings and fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Master’s, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
  • Eligible for or holding a Nebraska Special Services Certificate and School Psychology Endorsement.
  • In-depth knowledge of IDEA, IEP procedures, and special education law.
  • Strong skills in psychoeducational assessment, report writing, and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and ability to form effective partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
