This full-time, on-site contract role spans the 2026-2027 school year, offering the opportunity to collaborate within an established educational community. You'll serve students across one or more campuses (assignments will be confirmed), directly contributing to their success and well-being. Enjoy a schedule that balances your professional life and personal commitments, working 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid Virginia Department of Education licensure
- Active license as a School Psychologist in Virginia
- Previous experience in school-based settings is preferred
- Strong skills in assessment, intervention, and counseling for school-aged children and adolescents
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Adaptability and a proactive approach to supporting various caseloads
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students’ cognitive, social, and emotional needs
- Utilize evidence-based interventions to address academic and behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to develop and monitor student support plans
- Deliver direct and consultative services that foster positive educational outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams and maintain accurate records in compliance with guidelines
