Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid School Psychologist certification or eligibility in Vermont
- Previous experience conducting psychoeducational assessments, counseling, and behavior interventions in a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), IEP development, and federal/state education regulations
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Compassionate, creative, and student-centered approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret psychological evaluations to identify students’ strengths and needs
- Develop and implement individualized education and behavioral intervention plans
- Provide direct individual and group counseling to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to develop effective strategies for student learning and behavior
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP and 504 plan development
- Deliver crisis intervention and promote mental health awareness throughout the school community
- Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
