Key Qualifications:
- Must be licensed as a School Psychologist in Illinois
- Demonstrated expertise in special education law and best practices for evaluation
- Strong communication skills, ensuring effective collaboration with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to travel between sites within the district for early childhood assignments
- Experience working with diverse caseloads, including early intervention, K-4, and older students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Screen, evaluate, and support students from ages 3 through high school
- Conduct eligibility meetings, review re-evaluations, and facilitate initial assessments
- Collaborate closely with families new to the special education process and foster clear, compassionate communication
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) team discussions
- Serve as a specialist resource for general and special education staff
