Key Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan School Psychologist certification or Preliminary Certification
- Ability to provide an official university transcript prior to district review
- Previous experience as a school psychologist or in a related agency setting is preferred
- Understanding of MARSE and familiarity with IDEA federal regulations
- Comfort working in an urban educational environment and a willingness to address related issues and resources
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Implement and develop procedures for early identification and intervention
- Perform comprehensive assessments of cognitive, adaptive, academic, and socio-emotional functioning
- Clearly communicate assessment findings and recommendations to staff and families
