School Psychologist - Flint, MI

Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Michigan School Psychologist certification or Preliminary School Psychologist Certification is required
- Official university transcripts must be provided before district presentation
- Prior experience as a school psychologist or with an agency in similar settings preferred
- Strong understanding of Michigan regulations related to special education (MARSE and IDEA)
- Comfortable and passionate about serving students and families in an urban district
- Awareness of challenges facing urban youth and knowledge of community resources for support
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on early identification and intervention planning for students facing academic, social, or emotional hurdles
- Conduct psychological and educational assessments to help determine special education eligibility
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other support staff, participating in ongoing professional development
- Articulate assessment results clearly and compassionately to families and staff, contributing to effective educational planning
- Ensure the implementation of special education policies and procedures across assigned schools
- Support a positive school climate and help connect families with community resources
