You’ll manage an approximate caseload of 60 students, fostering collaboration and consistent support for students’ social, emotional, and academic needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid MI School Psychologist certification or Preliminary School Psychologist Certification is required
- Official university transcripts must be available prior to presentation
- Experience in school psychology or with related agencies (preferred)
- Familiarity with Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE) and/or related IDEA Federal Regulations
- Comfortable working with the needs and strengths of urban student populations
- Strong communication skills for sharing findings with parents, teachers, and administrators
- Ability to articulate resources and interventions suitable for students and families facing urban challenges
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement early identification/intervention for students with academic, social, or emotional challenges
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assist with eligibility for special education services
- Collaborate frequently with support staff and participate in professional development opportunities
- Clearly convey psychological findings and recommendations to all stakeholders
- Uphold consistent special education policies across assigned schools
- Address other duties as needed in a dynamic team environment
