School Psychologist in Des Plaines, IL

As a valued member of a multidisciplinary educational team, you’ll provide comprehensive psychological services for students, working approximately 37.5 hours per week. You will have the chance to be based at a site serving both grade-level and preschool students, contributing your expertise to one or more school communities.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist Endorsement, meeting all state and discipline-specific requirements
- Background in delivering psychological services in educational settings
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, families, and students
- Ability to adapt practices between onsite and virtual environments as needed
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results for educational planning
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions and supports
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to inform service plans
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student well-being
- Handle a caseload that may include grade-level and preschool students
- Flexibility to work at one or more schools; willingness to work hybrid as needed
