Your expertise will support early childhood students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth. You’ll perform assessments, contribute to IEP meetings, and offer guidance that helps create a thriving school setting.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Current Illinois School Psychologist license (IL Psych License)
- Meets all state and district certification requirements (including PEL as applicable)
- Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
- Solid understanding of assessment tools and child development principles
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct student evaluations and assessments in line with district and state guidelines
- Deliver direct and consultative psychological services to preschool students and staff
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and document interventions and progress
- Support teachers and families by providing resources and recommendations tailored to preschoolers’ needs
- Uphold ethical and professional standards, maintaining confidentiality and compliance
