Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Master’s or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a school psychologist
- Experience in K-12 educational settings preferred
- Strong understanding of evaluation and intervention techniques specific to school-based environments
- Excellent communication, consultation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of current laws and ethical standards regarding special education
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for students referred for academic, behavior, or emotional concerns
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions and recommendations tailored to individual student needs
- Participate in IEP and 504 planning, meetings, and team processes
- Provide individual or group counseling to address emotional, behavioral, and social challenges
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to promote best practices for student success
- Contribute to staff training, crisis intervention planning, and preventative programming
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with school policies and legal requirements
