School Psychologist – Maternity Leave Coverage (2026–2027 School Year)
We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to provide maternity leave coverage for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity in Enfield, CT, serving a primarily Kindergarten through 2nd grade population.
This position is ideal for a school psychologist who enjoys conducting comprehensive evaluations and collaborating with school teams. The role is focused exclusively on assessments and does not include counseling responsibilities.
Position Details
Pay: Starting at $55+/hour (based on experience)
Location: Enfield, CT
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 35 hours per week
Assignment Dates: Mid-December 2026 through the first week of April 2027
Setting: In-person
Student Age Range: Kindergarten – 2nd Grade (with a small number of evaluations at local parochial schools)
Primary Responsibilities
Conduct initial and reevaluation psychoeducational assessments
Complete comprehensive evaluation reports in compliance with state and district guidelines
Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings to review assessment findings
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary team members regarding evaluation results
Maintain accurate documentation and meet all required timelines
Travel to local parochial schools as needed to complete a limited number of evaluations
Support the special education process through high-quality, data-driven assessments
Please note: This position is evaluation-focused and does not include counseling or direct therapeutic services.
Qualifications
Valid Connecticut School Psychologist certification/licensure
Master's, Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and writing comprehensive reports
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
