Norfolk Public Schools is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to support students, families, and educational teams throughout the district. The School Psychologist will play a critical role in evaluating students, supporting special education eligibility processes, participating in IEP development, providing consultation services, and assisting with behavioral and academic interventions.
The ideal candidate will have experience conducting psychoeducational assessments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting students with a variety of educational, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
- Determine eligibility for special education services and provide recommendations
- Participate as a member of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT)
- Support IEP development through interpretation of assessment data and recommendations
- Assist with behavioral intervention planning and learning program development
- Consult with teachers, parents, administrators, and support staff regarding student needs
- Provide guidance related to learning styles, academic challenges, and behavioral concerns
- Collaborate with outside agencies, medical providers, and parent support organizations
- Assist in the development and implementation of crisis intervention programs
- Provide individual support, training, and consultation to students, families, and staff
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Participate in professional development and demonstrate ongoing professional growth
- Attend meetings and perform additional duties as assigned by district leadership
Required Qualifications:
- Master's, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology
- Valid Nebraska Special Services Certificate or ability to obtain
- Nebraska School Psychology Endorsement or ability to obtain through reciprocity
- Strong understanding of IDEA, special education eligibility, and IEP processes
- Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and report writing
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and district staff
