Make a meaningful impact as a School Psychologist working onsite in the Denver area! This full-time, contract opportunity is ideal for dedicated professionals passionate about helping Special Education students across all age ranges, from early childhood to high school. With two schools assigned per role, each assignment provides exposure to dynamic settings—choose between Lotus School for Excellence/Mrachek Middle School or Vista Peak Exploratory/Jamaica CDC. Start as soon as possible and contribute through May 2027.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s, Specialist’s, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology required
  • Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Service Provider License in School Psychology
  • Minimum of 3 years’ previous school-based experience
  • Strong student assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate, interact, and collaborate with diverse students, families, and teams
  • Calm under pressure and excellent in crisis management scenarios
  • Proficient in computer technologies for documentation and reporting
  • Passing district background check and fingerprinting required

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct group and individual counseling to students per IEP goals
  • Develop and implement system-level interventions for academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
  • Conduct cognitive, behavioral, and adaptive skill assessments; write evaluation reports
  • Participate in IEP and team meetings, review sessions, and staff development activities
  • Facilitate and document crisis response, including suicide risk and threat assessments
  • Provide consultation for general and special education students; collaborate with families and external service providers
  • Support home visits, community resource coordination, and psychoeducation for staff and families
