Seeking an experienced professional to serve onsite as a School Psychologist or Social Worker for a full-time contract at the NOVA Center, providing essential support from November 1, 2026, through January 29, 2027, to cover a maternity leave. This role is integral in guiding students and collaborating within a dynamic educational environment near Englewood, CO.
Ideal candidates are naturally energetic, engaging, and able to present their background and expertise in detail during the interview process. You’ll be working with a caseload of approximately 40 students, offering crucial services to support their educational and emotional needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDE license required
- Background in school psychology or social work within educational settings
- Open to travelers – applicants must have their license application in process and proactively research local housing and travel logistics
- Strong communication and interview abilities, with a confident, positive presence
- Demonstrated ability to handle a diverse caseload and communicate effectively with students, faculty, and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct counseling, assessments, and consultative services to students and staff
- Develop and implement individualized student programs and interventions
- Collaborate with educational teams, parents, and outside agencies as needed
- Thoroughly document student progress and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
- Foster an inclusive and supportive atmosphere aligned with the NOVA Center philosophy
