School Psychologist - Evanston, IL
Step into a pivotal role supporting student success in an engaging elementary school environment for the 2024-2025 academic year. As a School Psychologist, you will collaborate as a valued member of a dedicated special education and MTSS team, guiding data-driven decisions and supporting students' social-emotional needs. This contract position begins on August 26, 2024, and runs through June 10, 2025, with hours from 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM, Monday through Friday, following the school's calendar.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current School Psychologist certification/licensure for Illinois
- Experience working in educational settings, ideally at the elementary level
- Familiarity with initial and re-evaluation processes for special education
- Solid understanding of MTSS frameworks and crisis intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct and participate in all initial and re-evaluations for special education eligibility
- Provide data review support for students in the MTSS process
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to identify students in need and recommend interventions
- Offer responsive support for students in crisis, ensuring a safe and caring environment
- Support district-level efforts with parochial school evaluations as directed
- Maintain thorough records and uphold confidentiality standards at all times
- Serve as a trusted resource for parents, teachers, and administrators
