A contract opportunity is available for experienced School Psychologists interested in supporting students and staff in an educational setting near Flower Mound, TX. This full-time position spans the academic year, starting August 12th, 2026 and concluding on May 19th, 2027, with a standard 40-hour work week.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote positive learning environments and advocate for student well-being. Your expertise will ensure comprehensive evaluations, individualized recommendations, and the implementation of best practices in school psychology.
Desired Qualifications:
- Hold an active certification or license as a School Psychologist in Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a K-12 school environment is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of state and federal special education laws
- Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
- Complete psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for eligibility, programming, and progress monitoring
- Provide consultation and support to teachers and staff regarding academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Conduct individual and small group counseling sessions as needed
- Collaborate with families to support students’ progress and well-being
- Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to district and legal guidelines
