School Psychologist (PreK–12)

Location: Fryeburg, Maine
Position Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented School Psychologist to join a supportive school district serving students in PreK through 12th grade in Fryeburg, Maine. This is a full-time opportunity for professionals who are passionate about helping students succeed through comprehensive evaluations and collaborative educational planning.

Position Overview:

This role is primarily focused on assessment and consultation. The School Psychologist will:

Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations.
Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings.
Coordinate intervention plans with educators, administrators, families, and related service providers.
Support 3–4 school districts within the region.
Counseling services are not required, but candidates interested in providing counseling are encouraged to do so when appropriate.

Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological and educational assessments to determine student eligibility and educational needs.
Prepare comprehensive evaluation reports and present findings to IEP teams.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective intervention strategies and recommendations.
Participate in special education eligibility meetings and annual IEP reviews.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to support student achievement and well-being.

Qualifications:
Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure required in accordance with Maine state requirements.
Strong assessment, report writing, and collaboration skills.
Ability to travel between 3–4 school districts as needed.
