Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state license or certification as a School Psychologist
- Master’s or Specialist’s degree in School Psychology or related field required
- Experience administering and interpreting psychological evaluations at the middle school level preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education law and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration with students, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations for students within a middle school caseload
- Interpret assessment results and assist with development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide consultative support to teachers, counselors, and parents regarding students’ educational and emotional needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, eligibility determination, and intervention planning
- Offer recommendations for classroom strategies and evidence-based interventions
