School Psychologist in Joliet, IL

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
- Experience with psychological assessments, counseling, and intervention planning
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both students and staff
- Commitment to culturally responsive practices
- Previous school-based experience preferred but not required
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations to support student learning and development
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to interpret assessment results and design educational interventions
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) alongside multidisciplinary teams
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and behavioral support to students as needed
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to policies promoting mental health and safe school climates
- Stay current with best practices and emerging research in school psychology
