School Psychologist | Joliet, Illinois
Make an impact supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being in a dynamic school setting in the Joliet, IL area. This full-time, onsite opportunity places a skilled School Psychologist at the heart of a dedicated educational team for the duration of the contract assignment. You’ll work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families to assess students, develop intervention strategies, and ensure every learner receives the support needed to succeed.
Qualifications:
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Demonstrated understanding of MTSS/RTI frameworks and best practices in assessment/intervention
- Strong skills in individualized evaluation, report-writing, and consultation with educational staff
- Background in both preventative and responsive services within a school environment
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, functional behavior assessments, and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs and Section 504 plans
- Participate in problem-solving meetings and contribute to data-driven decision making
- Provide direct counseling services and support for students as needed
- Consult with faculty and parents, offering expertise on learning, behavior, and mental health concerns
- Remain current on district and state policy requirements, maintaining accurate documentation for compliance
- Embrace adaptability as caseload and daily needs may vary
