School Psychologist - Mechanicsville, MD

This full-time, contracted position offers the opportunity to work closely with a dynamic Department of Student Services. You'll collaborate with an experienced team to support student development, mental health, and academic success throughout the school year.
You’ll support a diverse caseload, providing services on site from August 10th, 2026, through June 17th, 2027. Your expertise will help students reach their full potential in a supportive, collaborative educational setting.
Qualifications:
- Holds a valid Maryland School Psychology License
- Experience working as a school psychologist in PreK–12 settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach with staff, students, and families
- Detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable in a dynamic school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and interpret findings for educational planning
- Provide individual and group counseling to support student social-emotional well-being
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student interventions
- Offer recommendations and participate in IEP/504 meetings to ensure students receive appropriate services
- Implement and monitor behavioral plans in cooperation with school teams
- Serve as a resource for mental health initiatives and crisis interventions
