Qualifications & Credentials:
- Valid Illinois School Psychologist license required
- Professional Educator License (PEL) for School Psychologist mandatory
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field
- Understanding of state and district regulations and compliance standards
- Strong interpersonal, consultation, and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments
- Develop and interpret individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and direct student support
- Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families to create supportive learning environments
- Consult on behavioral interventions and data-driven decision making
- Maintain accurate, confidential student records and reports
- Participate in eligibility meetings and student support forums
