This full-time, contract position offers 35 hours per week, working closely with young adults in a dynamic transition program. You’ll be instrumental in fostering growth and supporting students as they navigate crucial educational milestones from now through the end of the school year.
What You’ll Bring:
- Active Connecticut School Psychologist license (required)
- Previous experience within high school settings preferred
- Knowledge of transition planning and experience supporting students moving from high school to post-secondary environments
- Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Commitment to promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and create actionable reports
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals related to transition and academic success
- Provide direct and consultative services to high school students, teachers, and families
- Participate in team meetings to help design support strategies that address both academic and social-emotional needs
- Guide students through transition program activities, preparing them for life beyond high school
- Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to ethical and legal standards
