This full-time contract role (32.5 hours per week) offers two exciting opportunities for the 2026-27 school year. You’ll play a key role either as the dedicated psychologist for a single building or as specialized evaluation support, ensuring students get the assessments and advocacy they need to thrive.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Must hold, or be eligible for, a valid Connecticut School Psychologist certification (candidates with pending certs will also be considered)
- Experience practicing as a school psychologist in K-8 environments preferred
- Strong background in conducting psychoeducational and emotional/behavioral evaluations
- Confident working regularly with evaluations and developing corresponding reports
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with staff, families, and students
- Capable of working full-time onsite (in-person presence required)
Role Responsibilities:
- Complete psychoeducational, behavioral, and eligibility evaluations for K-8 students
- Provide direct consultation and support to teachers, administrators, and families
- Deliver services in either a single building as primary psychologist or as part of an evaluation overflow team
- Participate in IEP, eligibility, and other student support meetings
- Document findings, recommendations, and progress consistent with school and district guidelines
- Assist in crisis response and intervention planning when needed
