Remote School Psychologist (Louisiana)
Location: Remote – Supporting Jefferson Parish School District (Harvey, LA / Greater New Orleans Area)
Pay Rate: Up to $50.00 per Hour
Schedule: Full-Time, 35 Hours per Week
- Monday–Friday (following the school calendar)
- 7 hours daily plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch
- Part-time candidates may also be considered
Assignment Dates:
- Start Date: August 7, 2026
- End Date: May 27, 2027
Position Overview
We are currently seeking three Virtual School Psychologists to provide remote services for students within Jefferson Parish School District during the 2026–2027 school year. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive district team while making a meaningful impact on student success through virtual psychological services.
Assignments and caseload details will be determined based on district needs and candidate experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
- Interpret assessment data and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports
- Participate in eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, parents, and related service providers
- Provide recommendations to support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
- Support special education teams through consultation and problem-solving
Required Qualifications
- Active Louisiana Department of Education School Psychologist certification
- Ability to provide services remotely and effectively manage a virtual caseload
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet compliance timelines and documentation requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous school-based experience as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting virtual assessments and evaluations
- Familiarity with special education eligibility and IEP processes
