Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active VA DOE licensure for School Psychologists
- Active Psychology license for the state of Virginia
- Previous experience in school settings preferred, especially with K-12 student populations
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary educational team
- Flexible, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to the changing needs of students and schools
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychological services, including assessments, intervention strategies, and counseling for students
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral interventions
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions as needed, addressing emotional, social, and behavioral needs
- Participate in student support teams and problem-solving meetings
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Contribute to a positive school culture and foster student well-being and academic achievement
This assignment is full-time (35 hours per week), Monday through Friday, with details on building assignments and caseload to be determined. While much of the district operates virtually, this role is exclusively on-site, offering a chance for hands-on engagement and flexibility within the school schedule.
