Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and interpret assessment results to inform educational planning
- Complete Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and develop/monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating on the development of tailored education plans
- Monitor classrooms and design personalized intervention strategies for students
- Provide consultation and professional guidance to teachers and school staff on academic and behavioral supports
- Implement evidence-based interventions within general and special education settings
- Support crisis intervention efforts and foster a safe, positive environment for students
- Utilize data-tracking methods to monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in School Psychology
- Active NY School Psychologist Certificate
- Previous experience supporting K–12 students, especially in a school or district environment, strongly preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and collaborative problem-solving skills
